Marcus Ward, representative of Stop Live Exports says:
“Many of these animals due to be boarded on this ship may be sent to the Festival
of Slaughter in Saudia Arabia. After enduring a 3 week journey on this ship these animals
will be slaughtered in manner which would be illegal in Australia. We represent a
growing number of ordinary Australians who want this cruel trade to end.”
Mark Pearson, Executive Director Animal Liberation says:
“The ‘festival of sacrifice’ to which our government is condemning our
Australian farm animals is utterly unconscionable.
“Animal Liberation’s on-going exposure of the inherent brutality and systemic
abuse of these millions of animals will continue until the trade is relegated to the
shameful scrapheap of history.”
